 Domain Controller or Member Server for Exchange 2007
Does Exchange 2007 have to be installed on a domain controller can it just be a member server? Is there a preference? Thanks

You should not install Exchange 2007 on a domain controller. The only case where Exchange should be installed on a domain controller is when it is implemented using the Small Business Server solution. Its very difficult to make your exchange to get back to its original status when you demote your DC.
