Does web page length matter?

I'm looking for some opinions on customer behavior in relation to page scrolling, for both home page and product pages. Stats show the longer the homepage the lower the click through but is this true of all sites? Does it / could it make a difference on the product page, or does it even matter?

If your web visitor sees clearly that they will get value in scrolling down the page, then they’ll do it. I think what the statistics are really showing is that most pages don’t offer enough value (or at least it’s not clear to the visitor what value they’ll get) to keep reading.

Just make sure that you have proper call to action setup, if you are planning to make the website length long enough.

Yes it does matter. If the page has lots of picture and links, it appears too late and user might be disgusted & leaves the page.
