Q:
Does the log_file_name_convert parameter only rename the redo log files in a dataguard?
Hello
I've installed a Oracle RAC 10gR2 with two nodes and using the dataguard in a single database. I'm using a different SAN to both environments (all the servers are linux). I'm using the physical mode for replications and using the OMF (I'm using the ASM to handle the storage with the OMF option). But I've a doubt, in the oracle documentation makes reference to the log_file_name_convert parameter to rename the redo log files from the old primary database to the "new" primary database (if the paths are differents) in a switchover/failover operation. I've configured the stand by redo log files and the archives files in differents diskgroups, have I to put these files into the log_file_name_convert parameter? or will these files be converted with the db_file_name_convert parameter?
