I’m looking to go up to SQL Server 2014 version and am testing a large database to handle it. Is there any way restore SQL Server 2014 backup in SQL Server 2008? I know it’s possible to restore SQL Server 2008 backup in SQL Server 2005, but was removed in 2012 to 2008. Has this been restored in 2014? I’d like to restore a backup of the database to SQL Server 2008 because that physical machine has more space and RAM.
I’m getting standard error message when I try to restore backup. Is there something else in Server 2014 that I might be missing?
