Microsoft works with other OS vendors to provide a support agreement, ensuring the experience is right on Hyper-V. RIght now, we have agreements with SUSE and RedHat for Linux. We also have the Server Virtualization Validation Program (SVVP), which allows other hypervisor to submit their HVs for validation. once validated, Microsoft will support Microsoft applications on those HVs. Right now, validated HVs include VMware ESX 3.5u2 and XenServer
