 DNS Name server IPV6
Hi, I have two questions

1)Can the same dns server resolve the same dns entry for an IPv4 nad ipv6 address

2)i have a ns record for "www" which points to an ipv4 address. Now if i create a quad a record i.e(AAAA)for an ipv6 address, it gets created without an error but i can't see it any where. Plus, i m unable to resolve it also. Please suggest

Answer Wiki:
hi Not sure if I understand your question. you can have two entries in DNS for a dual-stack service, means an A record for the service with an IPv4 address and a AAAA record for the same service name with an IPv6 address. Obviously you should only do this if the service is dual-stack. Silvia
