You can write a shorter first-level text, with a standardised convention for showing that there is more text available if the HELP key is pressed (when the cursor is on the message). EG: Country code is invalid (more) or Country code is invalid (HELP) or Country code is invalid... or Country code is invalid (Alt | F1) The second-level text for the message can carry the more detailed information, and can include substitution parameters like the First-level text.
