Answer Wiki:
This depends on what you are refering to as "lower left corner." The only one I konw of in Windows XP is the Status Bar in Windows Explorer 1. In Windows Explorer select "View" 2. Check (enable) "Status Bar." This adds a status bar to the bottom of the Windows Explorer window which can show free space for the selected drive. Thanks! This answers the question! ========= You can determine the available disk space and used on your hard disk drive, you can do this by clicking Start, click My Computer or Computer and right click the Drive letter like Drive C.

why not try going into My COMPUTER and right-click the disk. Then select PROPERTIES?
