In the iSeries world, that is not possible. I have heard of a product called Vault400 which may do that to a limited degree but that was thru word of mouth.

It depends on what you want to do. You can access data on one AS/400 from another using DDM. See this link for more information.

If you have 2 AS/400s, you can set up an independant auxillary storage pool (iASP) that will allow you to switch each machine to use the iASP one system at a time.
I believe you need to IPL the machine to get control.
Other than that there is no way for both machines to share common disk at the same time due to the AS/400 using single level storage.
You can access files on one machine from the other by using DDM so the file looks like it resides on the fist machine while it actually resides on the second machine.
