A couple of comments were posted in <a href="http://itknowledgeexchange.techtarget.com/itanswers/oracle-acquires-sun-implications/">this question: Oracle acquires SUN: implications ?</a> a few days ago.

I was interested mainly in the future of MySql, but have read in the interview to Ian Abramson, that Oracle said they are going to continue with MySql, so let's wait to see what they are planning to do.

Another interesting topic is the future of the Oracle's Unbreakable Linux, and the Solaris operating systems.

Hello and welcome to our Oracle/Sun discussion. Your peers and the editorial staff on SearchOracle would love to hear your thoughts and reactions to the deal. Please feel free to jump in and comment.

Things we're thinking about:

> Are Sun shops planning to renegotiate pricing prior to the deal closing?
> What does this mean for open source?
> What other hopes, concerns or questions do you have about this deal?

What else is on your mind?
