How do I disable password for data transfer?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You need passwords to verify the connection to the i-Series.

How are you trying to transfer data, FTP, Excel or other means.
Why is the password posing a problem? It can be added to a script for batch FTP so it can be automated.

The tag indicated only AS/400 but what did you want to achieve? Data transfer by which like FTP/other methods. Please come back with more details. For your better concept, please link here, https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_i5_54/rzaiq/rzaiqseccontrolaccess.htm.

Even assuming that it could be disabled (and I don't think it can be), it's a horribly bad idea to make a server not need at least a password. That would effectively make the server have no protection at all.

What is the actual problem that a password causes? Maybe other ideas can be better.
