Disable Outlook rules and alerts through Exchange 2007 & PowerShell

Is there a way to find and disable/delete any rules and alerts on a mailbox using powershell or VB to query an exchange server?  Could someone enlighten me as to the format of the powershell command(s).

I don't believe this can be accomplished fromt he server side, now. You will have success opening either the mailbox in question directly or by using the MFCMAPI tool, both from your computer.
