Different results for embedded SQL

I have embedded SQL in my RPG code and some of the results are different to what I get when I check using STRSQL

I doubt that’s happening..please show us both commands and the values ..it’s likely a difference in library list or a value in the where clause. Phil

    If the queries are the same and over the same data, the results will be the same. Common differences in queries involve host variables versus literals. The construction of the query statement including host variables requires care to keep SQL standards in mind. Quoting character literals is a problem that's far easier to get correct with interactive SQL. Similarly, WHERE clauses that use LIKE or other functions can be tricky. Those elements are compounded when we know nothing about the environment. Same library list? Same job description? Both interactive or is one submitted to batch? Asking a question like "Why doesn't it work?" isn't very useful if we can't see the code. Telling us that you're doing things the same both ways also isn't very useful, especially when we can be certain that you aren't. Show us how it's being done. The differences will be seen by someone.
