1) What is the difference between a Global Catalog and LDAP?
2) What are the advantages of Trust relationship in windows 2003 server compared to windows 2000 server?

1) LDAP is the method of connecting to the Global Catalog.
The Global Catalog is a digest version of almost all Active Directory objects in all your domains in your forest.

2) The trust relationship "upgrade" from 2000 is that you can trust at the forest level instead of just the domain level.
