I am working on AS400- RPGILE

can anybody please tell me whet is the difference between command CPYTOIMPF an CPYF

I would really appreciate if you explane with example.

The CPYTOIMPF command (Copy To Import File) copies an
externally-described file to an import file. The term import file
is used to describe a file created for purposes of copying data
between heterogenous databases.

The CPYF command (Copy File) copies all or part of a file from the
database, or from an external device, to the database or to an
external device. A printer is an example of an external device.
