Main tasks of a DHCP Server:

1.) Protocol stack.
2.) Configuration Parameters to hosts.
3.) Application settings/parameters to hosts.
4.) Reduces or eliminates necessity of manually configuring host.
5.) Prevent multiple uses of the same IP.
