I'm new to Systems Administratios on Z/OS Series MVS systems. I have one DASD volume that was one of the system default workpacks, (it was initizlized with a small VTOC). This volume (WRKSP1) has multiple types of data on it, VSAM files, flat files, PDS files, DB2 Archival log datasets. The issue is this. With such a small VTOC, the VTOC is filling up with entries before the drive is filling up with data, causing jobs to fail. We want to use the ADRDSSU program to (copy or dump) the entire contents of the WRKSP1 volume over to a non SMS managed volume names RSV132. We've tried the following JCL with not the fully intended results:
//STEP01 EXEC PGM=ADRDSSU
//SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=*
//DD1 DD VOL=SER=WRKSP1,UNIT=3390,DISP=SHR
//DD2 DD VOL=SER=RSV132,UNIT=3390,DISP=SHR
//SYSIN DD *
COPY INDD(DD1) OUTDD(DD2) -
ALLDATA(*) ALLEXCP TOL(ENQF) REPLACE
The resulting volume on RSV132 contained some but not all of the files we wanted. It seemed to have not copied cataloged PDS files that just happened to be empty.
Can someone identify what full correct control statement I should use to get a total mirror image of what is on WRKSP1 over to RSV132.
