Devry vs. University CIS or CoE degree

devry, university, BS, Cis, computer, Computer engineering

Hi everyone. I was wondering what the better route is for me to take. I am interested in obtaining either a computer engineering degree or computer science degree. I already have a BS in political science, but woudl like to go back to school for either of the above mentioned degrees. What are the relative merits of a degree from devry vs a degree from a state university. Are the job prospects and salary range the same? Also, are the opportunities for advancement the same whether the degree comes from Devry or a University? Will a degree from Devry exclude me from (higher paying) jobs that I would otherwise be considered for if I had a University degree. I have read on here that for management promotions you need a University degree. Since I already have a BS, would I be better off going to Devry or back to the University for the second degree? Thanks in advance!!
