 Developing standalone Apps with Oracle Developer 10g

hai, i am new to oracle 10g development. can i build an application using oracle forms developer 10g and run it without deploying in the application server.(i.e without using oracle 10g Application Server) thanks np

You can run forms locally without the application server. If you want to run them from remote clients, you will need at least the Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services. As an alternative , you could develop ADF web projects using <a href="http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/index.html">Oracle JDeveloper</a>, which you can deploy to Tomcat or JBoss (among others).
