 Developer 6i and 10g database setting

Please give me good suggestion

I install in my system Oracle 10g system password manager
then if i open in  developer connect to database using same password it's show wrong,

Please give me the good suggestion or could be expain how to install Developer 6 and oracle 10g

Answer Wiki:
You would need to make sure that the database is up and running, and that you can connect from Sql*Plus or any other similar tool. After that, you would just need to modify the TNSNAMES.ORA file of your developer installation.
