How do you determine the JOBQ that an active batch job is running from? I have submitted a job to a specific jobq. This job will submitt other jobs. I want the other jobs to run from the same jobq that the main job was run from. I don't want to hard code the jobq name.

Hi,

You should be able to retrieve this info using the QUSRJOBI api. You’ll need to access the JOBI0300 record data.

Another way could be ussing the same JOBD, the only think you have to hard code is the name of the job description you are ussing, you have to add it to the sbmjob cmd. good luck

The chain works like this: User profile points to job description, job description points to job queue. If you sumit the initial job with an appropriate user name the defaults for any additional submit job commands will reference the same job queue.
