Hi all, I have to design a screen which have almost 50 fields and I have to keep them on a single screen (page) how I can design a long display so by doing Page Down and Page Up we could scroll through all fields. Thanks in advance

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Similar to what Charlie said … I’ve done “related” screens where user can toggle (e.g. via F11) between screens. It feels like one screen to the user but actually uses different screens.

A record cannot be more than 24 or 27 rows

PageDown/PageUp control functions could be used to display different pages .. in the RPG program.

    or ------------------

The 50 Data fields could be put into a subfile which would allow page-up and page-down but all rows of the subfile whould have the same structure .. perhaps char 75.  Doesn't seem to useful.  Output would be reasonable, input control would be sketchy.

You could design individual screens (not a SFL), Then just code the Page Up and Down to do want you want.
You may have 2 or even 3 formats (pages) for a single record.
So the Page key takes you from Rec A page 1 to Rec A page 2 to Rec A page 3 to Rec B page 1. Simple to do
