Deploying Oracle Database
Oracle Database Migration, Oracle Database, Oracle Database 10g, Oracle 10g
I do have a database BankDB created on oracle 10g. I want to move this database into another machine. In SQL, you know we use attach and dettach to move databases. How could I do this in the oracle 10g? I'm waiting for your help. Thanks a lot

To better answer your question, we need to know the operating system of the current host and the destination host. Also, from your statement, it sounds like you might want to move a schema from one database to another as opposed to the complete database being moved. So, more information is needed before we can provide constructive suggestions.

But, in all cases, step 1 will be to install the Oracle software on the destination host. This can be done in preparation for any type of replication.
