Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Some details:
- what router brand/model
- IP address of the router
- what were you using BEFORE to assign IP addresses
- does the router IP address conflict with any of the stations (particularly the server itself)
- how many stations on the LAN

Hi Drgordenchin and evryone, Before adding anything to an existing network, in this case a router, you should verify that: - the router is in the same scope as the existing LAN; - the router has a different IP adress of any device already connected to the network, preferably an excluded IP address (from DHCP server) to prevent future issues; - Commonly a router, more often those from consumer grade, have enabled the DHCP server feature. Unless you know what you're doing, you should have only one DHCP sere within a LAN. - Check for connectivity (read wiring) problems - patch cords, bad switch ports, etc.; - check for MAC address issues; I already had a problem with intermitent network connectivity back in 2000 and the problem was two NICs with the same MAC address... When you check every one of this items and the problem still persistes, please post back with some more details. Regards, Luís
