Default error/exception handler

If we have any error/exception in the RPG ILE subprocedure and we have default error/exception handler routine *PSSR in that module. will control go to the *PSSR?

Control should go to your *PSSR routine if you haven’t specified any other handling for error/exception conditions.

    Having a *PSSR wouldn't do much good if it wasn't invoked for unhandled errors. But a *PSSR is a subroutine. It is only visible to the procedure in which it exists. A module with multiple procedures may have a global *PSSR as well as *PSSRs for each procedure. But if a main procedure is what's calling the subprocedures and a subprocedure fails, the failure may percolate up and signal an error back in the main procedure. If nothing else handled that error, then the global *PSSR would be invoked. Tom
