Debian sometimes not responding?


Linux servers, Network connectivity, Debian

Dear All,

I'm have a debian server, sometimes some machines (in same LAN) can't connect on it with ssh and snmp doesn;t respond while ping command is responding.

this is a random behaviuor and soon and without an chnage in configuration the machine responds with ssh and snmp!!

while in the time that server isn't responding to some machines, it responds to other machines ( also in the same network)!!!

can anyone thik with me where an be the problem?

I've seen this issue with CentOS machines as well, what I believe resolved it was that I upgraded the installation of SSH and applied any and all patches to the box.

I have seen similar characteristics with ip address conflicts.
