Domino Designer
This is driving me crazy...I am simply trying to lookup values in a view on another database in the same folder on our domino server. I am not the admin, but a designer. We want to be able to web enable our databases so the users could be anonymous or not need notes to do data entry. Also, we could share data lookups and entry to multiple sources from multiple sources. @Dbcolumn and @Dblookup works fine in notes but not through the web. It is very frustrating. Querying data should be easy. But I am stumped and can't move forward. thanks in advance,

DbLoobup works on the web
Use this format
CLASS := “Notes”;
NOCACHE := “NoCache”;
CACHE := “Cache”;
SERVER := “”;
DATABASE := “YourDatabase”;
VIEW := “YourView”;
KEY := YourKey;
COLUMN := “YourColumn”;
LookUp := @DbLookup(CLASS : NOCACHE; SERVER : DATABASE; VIEW; KEY; COLUMN);
@If(@IsError(LookUp); @Text(LookUp); LookUp)

    It sounds like an ACL problem. In Notes, the database knows who you are since you have signed on with your id. On the web, you are anonymous until you have signed in (gotten prompted). Most likely you have a lookup to a database that is giving you a security error. Do you trap ALL errors to DBLookups/DBColumn so that you know when something is failing?

    Yes, it could be due to ACL issue and you may want to check all the security levels, including database, view, document etc. rgds.
