DB size

SQL Server 2000, SQL Server performance tuning, SQL Server logs

Hi, I am using a software which is using SQL DB. Each time there is an error (one of the tasks fails) the DB grows. I would say over 1G per day! Currently I have DBs which are 45G and I am running out of space.
Anyone has any idea how to shrink the DBs or do something to reduce the size.
The LDFs don't grow as much as MDF. They are something like 1M.
Thanks,
Ellie

I assume you have tried the simple step of Stop Service - Start Service. (I.E. shutdown and close all users)

Which file is growing the mdf or the ldf? In your tags you say the logs, but in the post you say the mdf is growing more than the ldf.

The MDF is growing up.
