hi, I am reading a database file line by line and want to display the records in QSYSOPR. i am using CHGVAR   VAR(&A)   VALUR(B)         where &A = variable in CL, and                  B = field from database file SNDPGMMSG &A MSGQ(QSYSOPR) But the problem is i am not getting value of B rather i am getting "B" in qsysopr queue. Please suggest the necesarry changes Thanks, Sid

i have to use &B because the compiler itself converts B to &B.
