Hi everyone Could someone please help with the following. I want to know the pros and cons of using data warehousing with SQL server 2000. Any info or views are welcome.

Their is no inherent reason not use SQl Server 2000 for data warehousing. The issue is more of understanding the intricacies of tuning for performance, managability, cleansing of data, proper architecting of the data warehouse, etc. These issues are database independent. Checkout the many knowledge base articles from Microsoft, books on data warehousing, the SQL Server Resource kit, etc. for information on data warehousing.
