Data transfer
Any ideas on how to transfer large amounts of data beyond FTP site. Size and time restrictions limit use of FTP so looking for a solution that can handle more and faster

How large are the files and what is the smallest link between source & destination? Are the files compressed? Any file transfer protocol using TCP will be following the same network communication rules as what you are seeing using FTP. So, file compression helps transfer less data. Another solution is using a network optimization appliance like Riverbed or Packeteer.

Wow, need something other than FTP!? I concur with Labnuke99….appliance or a bigger pipe on both sides of the Internet may be in store.
