To be more specific to my data transfer question; I need a very creative person who can invent a for sure way to get all my creative efforts from one computer into my new one. Believe me, it is more complicated than you think and a bit of a challenge. Is anyone interested in the details and helping out?

There apparently was some error when your previous question was logged on the ITKE site; it doesn't open when clicked on. But it's not clear what you really need. Floppy disk drives that plug into a USB port can be bought for $20US. A PC that has a built-in floppy can put data onto a floppy disk, and that disk can be read on another PC that has a floppy drive on its USB port. What else would be needed? -- Tom

Ur Q is not clear here ! Guessing, if u r indicating the previous Q (some floppy to usb....) so why r u waiting/ asking another one. Hope u have minimum knowledge that know how to operate PC/ must have some basic idea about computer. Copy floppy data to ur pc (it mus have floppy drive) then insert ur usb drive / pen drive into usb port and again back to copy whole floppy data in ur usb drive. Though what ur new issue/ if u faced already any probs that is not disclose here.

Hello Tom, Thank you for answering. Yes, that is exactly the type of device I was thinking of. I don't spend much time keeping up on the new things that are available but people I have asked at like Best Buy for instance had no clue what I was wanting. I have been trying to move a large amount of stuff from my pre-1998 Dell with USB ports that have never worked. ( think they were the very first ones) and also no internet access for it. I haven't seen floppys in the stores for a while, can you still get those? I will need A LOT!!! What exactly is the name of that gadget?

You can run a simple Google search for [ floppy disk drive usb ] and a variety of links will show up. I don't know if I'd expect a lot of places to carry them in stock, and I don't know if anyone is making new ones. I have one that's a few years old that was a liquidation item. -- Tom
