In what language? Because this appears to be an exam (interview/homework) question, direct answers can't be given. But general guidance to help you learn how to find information can be appropriate. Also, if you show any research or work that you have done or that you tried, we can help suggest changes. Tom

In RPG. Consider I have a PF with Name Zip and Address and with Keyfields Name and Zip. I want to create a Data structure with fields Name and Zip. Wanted to know whether I can achieve this by declaring the data structure like this D Data_Struct ds likerec(custRec : *key)

Wanted to know whether I can achieve this by declaring the data structure like this D Data_Struct ds likerec(custRec : *key) Assuming at least V5R3 and that CUSTREC is a record name from a keyed file in the program, yes, that's how to use LIKEREC() with *KEY. There are minor considerations of usage. If problems are seen, describe them. Tom
