Data lost from all Systems in the network
We have 40 systems in the network all in domain with symantec virus protection installed and updated. from last five days we are facing problem in all systems, one by one all systems data was lost. some thing lost in systmes some where PST file lost some where D Drive data some where all drive data, when i start the computer the massage appear NTLDR file missing, some where i solve the problem but in some systems all data lost or pst file lost symantec version is 11.0.5002.333

Software/Hardware used:
lenovo dual core systems, symantec antivirus.

Let us know what is error messages you got. Error messages will help us to give suggestion. You said NTLDR file missing. That means your OS file is corrupted. Use OS cd which was installed on your system and try to repair it. But, it will take lots of time.

1) did you check the pst at C:Documents and SettingsUSER IDApplication DataMicrosoft ??

i have used before symantec and it does not delete data or anything.

there are tools for you to recover missing data, but when running it, it will take some time if your hard disk is big and there is no 100% confirm it will return back everything

Try to catch the error message. It will help you lot. NTLDR file missing means operating system is corrupted. Repair your operating but not install a fresh one otherwise you will lost your data. For more IT related problem you will here
