There is no limit to the number of objects in a library
1. Use the DSPOBJD command to create a file — Myfile below

———————————————————————————-
Display Object Description (DSPOBJD)

Type choices, press Enter.

Object . . . . . . . . . . . . . > *ALL
Library . . . . . . . . . . . > mylib
Object type . . . . . . . . . . > *ALL
+ for more values
Detail . . . . . . . . . . . . . *BASIC
ASP device:
Device . . . . . . . . . . . . *
Search type . . . . . . . . .
Output . . . . . . . . . . . . . > *OUTFILE
File to receive output . . . . . > MYFILE
Library . . . . . . . . . . . > mylib2

——————————————————————————————–

2. DSPFD MYFILE — at the bottom will e the number of objects.

3. Myfile contains alot of other info on the objects that might be useful.

Hi,

You can also use the command DSPLIB. If you ask for a *PRINT output this will show you total number of objects and total size.

Regards,

Martin Gilbert.

You can also do a WRKLIB mylib and put a 5 in front of the library and it will show you the number of objects in your library along with the size of each object. To get a total library size however, the only way is to print the library as Martin states above. Hope this helps. Lovemyi
