Data center walls – what is considered secure?

We are building out a site where the suites or modules are by Megawatt not square feet. We need to be flexible in the size of each suite and want to know what the data center industry considers, from a physical security standpoint, an adequate wall system. We prefabricate wall systems at the same site as our data center for lease, but have been unable to determine a wall system design standard. Any ideas?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Have you looked at the EIA/TIA 942 standard? You have to pay for the document but here’s a good primer on what 942 contains. Definitely don’t want to go with drop ceilings. ;-)

Nice document, thanks!

we are having data center around opertioanl area, wehere can departments are also sitting and our data center wall is of transparent glass. Now everyone on this floor can see the internal structure(Rack/server/wires) of data center. also what work is carried on data center is going on also also be visible. SO, data center glass should be transparent or opaque as per standard.?
