Dear, it has been observed commonly that people don't pay any attention to use shoe cover (poly bags) to avoid dust in data centers. Can anyone please elaborate what should be the SOP for this either to use 1, dedicated shoes for data centers, 2, use Shoe Cover, 3, use anti-contamination mats or any other option?

I've never worked in a data center that needed anything but normal air filtration. I've worked in quite a few of them in 40 years, including a multi-billion-dollar, multi-national corporation that was one of the Dow-Jones 30 Industrials and one of the world's largest PC manufacturer (at the world's largest PC manufacturing plant). Modern equipment has little need for serious dust control in most data centers. . When the degree of needed control is so strict that shoe covers are specifies, I would expect that the site would have controls that are strict enough to match. I would expect penalties including termination for violating control procedures. . Tom
