What is the DASD limit (gigabytes) that can be allocated to an LPAR on a i5 570 Power6 that is running V5R4?

It probably depends on which Processor and Server features the system has. The System i5 Handbook for V5R4 shows smallest system DASD maximum as 38949GB and largest as 193898GB, assuming 141GB drives. (And the V5R4 Information Center gives the absolute OS/400 ‘Maximum number of DASD arms per partition’ as 2047, so there are no systems of any model that can possibly go for more arms, at V5R4.) I suppose that the maximum for a LPAR would depend on how many LPARs and how much DASD is carved out for each. I don’t see clear info in a quick search. — Tom
