Thanks boom3r. The card does connect to the wireless network downstairs (but not upstairs) so that doesn't seem likely to be the problem? I've checked and all the properties and settings on my laptop for the upstairs network are the same as on the other laptop that is connecting to it without nay problems. Any other ideas???
