 Crystal Reports 8.5 export troubles
Crystal Reports 8.5, Crystal Reports Export, Crystal Reports Viewer, Visual Basic 6.0
I have an older application which uses Cryst 8.5 and we use the viewer. We recently turned on the export button in the viewer. The export feature works on some machines but on others it works up to the point of displaying the window that allows the user to choose where to save the file. This window does not open at least on some machines. What am I missing? I am desperate any help would be appreciated. It works on XP some Win7 but not others.

The windows 7's it doesnt work on are most likely 64x. Your only options are to use the .NET 10.5 assemblies which is fully supported on 64 bit OS's using the 64bit redist package. It is limited to CR Basic and CR 10 functions but it is supported on 64 bit OS's. The other option is to upgrade your VB to 2010 and rebuild the activex yourself to allow it to be supported on 64bit machines.
