Exporting
We have designed a crystal report, which returns the data in the form of a crosstab. We've added a drill-down function so that for a given group heading, we can see all the cases which make up that group. We cannot, however, export this data. It seems that when we try to export, it's just the crosstab which is exported, because this is the 'main' part of the report. How do we get to export the individual cases?

  • Select the Fact Cells to the column you wish to add drill-down functionality to.
  • Set the Property “Define Contents” under General to Yes
  • Unlock the report
  • Click inside the a cell in the CrossTab of the column you are working with
  • Delete the object inside the cell (This will delete the object for the entire column)
  • Drag a “Text Item” from the Toolbox into the cell
  • Change the “Source Type” property under Text Source to “Cell Value”
  • In the properties page under Data, open the “Drill-Through Definitions” section & define your Drill-Through.
