CRTDEVPRT – problem creating print device on iSeries
I have created print device on my iSeries (CRTDEVPRT). Have successfully done this on many occasions on the same box and as recently as 6/9/09. When I using the same parameters using 10.7.xxx.xx IP address the report goes to PND status and does not print. Any other IP address and the configuration allows successful print jobs. I have a meeting with System Engineer and would be helpful if I were able to give the engineer something to pay attention to. I have used port 9100, port 2105. Check the subnet mask and default gateway settings on the printer (or its network interface, if separate).

Is there a message waiting on the printer itself?
