Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I think it uses print file QSYS/QSYSPRT. Unfortunately, so does a lot of other stuff. Depending on whether you’re willing to change this for everything relying on QSYSPRT for output, you might consider creating your own command that internally does OVRPRTF FILE(QSYSPRT) PAGESIZE(something new) before invoking CRTBNDRPG.

Hope that helps.

We use lasers quite a bit, and have found it is best to put in an override print file definition. We do this by requesting the print override in a CL program that is called by the RPG to set the print parameters E.g OVRPRTF FILE(QPQXPRTF) PAGESIZE(69 198) OVRFLW(68) + OUTQ(QUSRSYS/PRT01) HOLD(*NO) SAVE(*YES) + USRDTA(TURNOVER) QPQXPRTF is the print file used by SQL/400 , so you would change this to QSYSPRT The IMPORTANT thing with a laserjet is the overflow comand as most lasers will default to 66 - so even if you set your page size to 69 198, it will still break at 66 unless you put the overflow in as 68 (or the number you require) ALSO, remember to delete the override at the end of the program (DLTOVR) Hope this helps

I can't remember the last time I printed a RPG (nor any other) compile listing. The only use I've found for compilations in years has been to locate error messages with WDSC or SEU. Having a printed copy simply hasn't had any purpose. But I also don't quite get what the problem is -- so that listings will print properly on a laser printer. Since when has that been a problem? Tom
