CRM on demand versus on premises solutions?

Can somebody give a quick comparison of CRM on-demand solutions vs on-premise solutions regarding their integration capabilities with ERP and other legacy systems such as SAP, Oracle Apps?

Since “On-demand” refers to services/applications that usually reside on a server at a remote site, I think that if integration is an important factor, the best choice could be an on-premises solution, but some other factors need to be taken into consideration, such as time of implementation (which is usually bigger with a on-premise solution), overall costs, etc.
