Overlays
We have a requirement to print terms and conditions on back of the invoice page. Our invoice file is defined as 60 lines per page and width is 80 column. But terms and conditions are around 115 lines and maximum width of 155 characters. Is there any way we can define an overlay and print the Terms and conditions on the back of our invoice? Share your ideas or experience.

Yes, just create your back overlay as a document and use BACKOVL on the PRTF

Make sure the printer you are using can print double sided. Do you use preprinted forms now? Are you using an overlay for the front side?
You should be able to print the document from a PCusing the AFP driver (downloadable). Then you send the file to the Iseries (FTP or otherwise) and use the file to CRTOVL.
    Good Luck!

long ago, I did this and if I remember correctly, I needed to print at least one blank space on the back page.

further, I think we had it set to duplex.  But it was a long time ago in a far distant galaxy.

How are you going to set up the terms and conditions? Will you use an image or define in a print file with a reduced font size to meet your needs? Other than that, just need to use the overlay feature like Charlie and PGMBOB mentioned

    Hi All,

Thank you very much for all your suggestions.  I managed this by creating a document in MS WORD and convert it into Overlay using AFP Printer driver.  Now it is functioning as per our requirement.

In a world where everything seems to change every 18 months, it's great that the AS/400 doesn't.  Too bad that's not of value to the movers and shakers.
