 Creating User ID having special authorities.
*SECADM, AS/400 Client Access, AS/400 user permissions
i want to creat a user id having authorities SPLCTL,AUDIT, ALLOBJ and *SECADM. The user profile from where i want to create is having authorities *ALLOBJ ,*JOBCTL ,*SAVSYS ,*SECADM Is this possible. If no please tell me what i need to do? Thanks,

If you have *SECADM authorities, you can create accounts with the authorities specified.

Hi MShen,

I still cannot create any account having *SECADM authorities. Error is displayed as
‘Message . . . . : User profile does not have all special authorities being
granted.
Cause . . . . . : The user profile creating or changing user profile SID
does not have all special authorities being granted. Special authorities
being granted are (*ALLOBJ *AUDIT *SPLCTL *SECADM). ‘

you can not give greater authority than you have.

i.e. you can not give AUDIT to a profile from one that doesn’t have that authority.

suggest you sign-on as SECADM then create the new user profile you want.
