Created a user - defined function (as w1 for wrkmbrpdm) But an error throws w1 not found in *libl . Please somebody can help me out on this. Thanks

Hi,

The user defined functions in PDM are only available as options within PDM, they are not commands.

Your best option is to create a ‘proxy’ command :-

CRTPRXCMD CMD(Yourlib/W1) TGTCMD(WRKACTJOB)

If you’re using an older version of OS/400 you may not be able to use the CRTPXYCMD, but you can use CRTDUPOBJ to create a duplicate of the command into your own library with your own name :-

CRTDUPOBJ OBJ(WRKACTJOB) FROMLIB(*LIBL) OBJTYPE(*CMD) TOLIB(Yourlib) NEWOBJ(W1)

Replace the Yourlib with a library that you normally have in your library list (you could use QGPL if necessary).

Regards,

Martin Gilbert.
