Has anyone use any software that would allow you to create org chart from the Active Directory?

Yes! Vision 2002 or later can do this<a href=”http://www.microsoft.com/office/visio”> from microsofts site:</a>

With Visio 2002 you can automatically populate floor plans with data stored in Active Directory, Exchange, Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, or other ODBC-compliant data sources
</b>, this of course is providing you have the information added to AD or the schema extended to populate the needed information.

Its not cheap but you might be able to still find 2002 online for cheaper than the newest one.

    I've actually played with this and it does work, but you have to be diligent about keeping AD up to date. Unfortunately, there's no shortcut to creating documentation. You always have to put the data somewhere... I hate that. ;-)

    You should check out the Org Chart PowerPack for PowerGUI. It's free and it allows you to create, browse, report on, export to file, and generate a Visio org chart from AD data. Based 100% on PowerShell too. You can find it here: http://www.powergui.org/entry.jspa?categoryID=21&externalID=2424
