Automated notifications
I am building a volunteer database. I have a table tracking hours that each volunteer has put in, and would like to be notified when they reach certain milestones, (eg, 25 hours, 50 hours, 100 hours), so that we know who to thank appropriately. I believe that I will need a query totaling the hours of each volunteer anyway and to make this work, and I would like to be notified either when 1. entering hours information in a form and automatically given the milestone or total number of hours the volunteer is at in a popup box or 2. when I open the query that new records have reached those milestones, and given a list of what volunteer and what milestone they have reached Is there a simple way to accomplish this, or is there a specific type of programming that I should look into if I want this to happen? Any input would be much appreciated. I have fairly limited database experience but learn fast.  Thank you!
