Currently, my organization maintains a phonelist in a MS Excel spreadsheet. Only one person has modification rights to this file. I have been asked if I can build a hyperlink on our intranet web server (IIS 5 created with FP 2000)that would poll the Excel spreadsheet for all of its data and then generate a view-only html page that would display this data. An actual html representation of what the Excel files looks like in Excel would be fine. Currently, the closest help on this topisc that I could fine is Microsoft article 268948, but we have not been able to get it to work. The spreadshhet has some peculiar formating, and I link it is conussing the db connection. Any help on this wiill be greatly appreciate. TIA, Jon

You may want to try linking to an .asp page that on loading, creates an ado excel object that connects to your spreadsheet. Then itereate through your rows to extract the data you need. You can present this information by using print statements to create a dynamic html form where your data is placed into an html table and this table will be returned as an excel spreadsheet, if the very first line of your dynamic form has “Content-Type:application/vnd.ms-excel”. I know this is sparse but I hope it helps.
